It can replace between 20% and 50% of the nitrogen and all the P & K where it is used but it's real benefit is that it primes the soil with Plant Growth Promoting Rhizo-bacteria (PGPRs) and Plant Growth Promoting Fungi (PGPFs) which benefit the soil on a long term basis improving the uptake and transport of plant nutrients, protecting plants against pests and diseases, causing roots to go significanly deeper and have much higher biomass resulting in improved soil health.
The list of soil and plant benefits is too long for a short FAQ and it's important to point out that SlurryKING GOLD has been developed by Sylgen with many more PGPRs and PGPFs with a view to concentrating heavily on the soil and plant health benefits.
Yes, SlurryKing Pigs and Cattle have been developed to assist the biological decomposition of slurry organic matter that acts as the glue between individual strands of hay, straw etc.
Once this glue is removed, the straw etc becomes free floating and much easier to mix in and spread.
SlurryKING GOLD also contains a number of fungi that produce powerful lignases, enzymes that break down lignin and other fibrous material to ver fine particle sizes making the slurry much more fluid.
Generally the answer is yes. However, new concrete pits may give an impaired performance in the first cycle through the possible high level of leached calcium. It's strongly recommended that SlurryKing Gold is used under these circumstances as the fungi used in this product effectively bind the calcium from interference.

It normally takes about 6 weeks for Slurry King to have a noticeable effect, although warm weather can speed this up a little. The following signs can indicate that it is working, even when it is not immediately obvious:

Secondly, it's very important that SlurryKing is applied in the correct quantities in the correct way. We’ve known instances where the powder has been thrown over the top of the crust with the expectation it will work. It will not. The SlurryKing powder must be mixed with luke-warm water and applied to the liquid layer of the slurry.

Under normal conditions, diluted chemicals present no problems to the effectiveness of the product; there have been no reported problems over the last 13 years. However, excessive concentration of chemicals, cleaners, heavy metals or salts (from feed or water sources) and antibiotics in the slurry tank will restrict the beneficial results of SlurryKing and should be limited as much as possible.
Two to three weeks after treatment of a lagoon or pit the liquids should show bubbling and biologically more active than prior to treatment. If no activity is observed, contact us.

Yes, this is one of the key benefits of SlurryKing.
It reduces odour by breaking down the solids in the slurry (which is where the odours are made and stored), through its controlled micro-biological and enzymatic activity.
SlurryKing is totally different from conventional odour suppressing chemicals in that it functions directly on the source of the odour by enzymatically changing the molecular structure of the odour-causing compounds. Indole and skatole, two of the most potent, penetrating odourisers found in animal waste, are enzymatically reduced to odourless compounds through bio-oxidation with SlurryKing. Organic amines, which produce some of the most offensive odours, are totally destroyed in the process.
Yes, this is one of the benefits of SlurryKing: the bacteria break down the solids on the bottom of the slurry tank. This has the additional benefit of reducing odour, as the solids are where the odour is made and stored.
In scientific terms, the unique SlurryKing cocktail of bacteria and fungi converts the solids from high molecular weight to low molecular weight. As the solids are lighter, they become suspended in the liquid within the pit, creating a more homogenous, liquid slurry, rather than a slurry that has three layers of crust, liquid and solids. High build-ups of solids can take more than one cycle to clean out completely.
